Feb 27th, 2009: Until now owners of Caterpillar engines has had no other options than going to Caterpillar, when they wish to ensure correct operation of their injectors. This results in many injectors and combined injectors-fuel pumps to be sent for overhaul at Caterpillars centralised facilities without knowing if there is an actual need for this overhaul.  IOP Marine has changed that!

Sep. 2008: The Injector SafeTest technology developed for correct testing of MANDiesel slide-valve fuel  injectors, has evolved into a new generationof digital fuel injector testers, designed for easier and more efficientonboard maintenance 2- and 4-stroke engine fuel injectors. 

 The newequipment will guide the user through all recommended tests and ensuresthat the chance of human errors during testing is eliminated.In turn this helps avoiding unnecessary particle emissions, fuel consumption and engine maintenance is not increased unnecessarily.

Autumn 2008: IOP Marine - Obel-P Products was as usual be present at SMM in Hamburg, at Stand A4-334, where we demonstrated a new and enhanced version of the patented IOP SafeTest Technology for fuel injectors, featuring a worlds first "step-by-step" guided test system. At the same time we also showcased the latest revision of our workshop equipment and our Hydraulic PowerPacks and accessories for onboard/workshop use.

Chris-Marine and IOP Marine both supply high-quality products very much to the same customers. By working together during 2008, both companies expect to provide even better support for the growing customer bases. Customers will in several different ways notice the common and the increased market and sales activities.

For the second half of 2007 IOP Marine will be present with a sales manager in USA to promote IOP Marine, Obel-P Products and provide local support to our american customers. Based in Miami, mr. Jens Groth will handle the demand for information and support requested by shipowners and powerplants.

Together with our local agents and distributors (MAN PrimeServ, Wärtsilä, Goltens and KE Marine) we are able to supply state-of-the-art hydraulic power packs and fuel valve injection testers for all 2- and 4-stroke engines in the maritime and powerplant industry.

IOP Marine - Obel-P Products will be exibiting at Asia Pacific Maritime 2008 (APM) fair in cooperation with our local partner, Goltens Singapore. At the exibition it will be possible to learn more about the new 5 times faster Hydraulic Power Units (PowerPacks), new generation of test equipment for MAN DIesel A/S slide-valve fuel injectors as well as RT-Flex injectors from Wärtsilä Switzerland and more.

IOP Marine A/S first time participated in the ShipEC "meet-the-buyers" event in 2004, and we are coming back 25th to 28th of October this year. At ShipEC, shipowners will get the chance to learn more about IOP Marine products on a series of 1-on-1 meetings in Marbella, Spain.

Following a growing interest in the our workshop product series, IOP Marine A/S - Obel-P Products, will exibit at stand H14 on the Ship Repair & Conversion fair for the first time. The event takes place in London on October 10-11th 2007, and is a unique opportunity for workshops to learn more about IOP Marine's workshop-related products.

IOP SafeTest Technology is the only bullet-proff way to make sure that MAN Diesel slide-valve fuel injectors cannot be damaged during testing and overhaul.

Testing of MAN B&W Diesel A/S (now MAN Diesel) slide-valve fuel injectors installed in newer 2-stroke MC/MCC/ME engines requires the use of the recently developed IOP SafeTest Technology (patent pending), featured in the VPUD 1000 and VPUD 1100 SV test rigs as well as the PPMI 1000 retro-fit unit for traditional test benches.

The slide-valves were introduced in 2002 and today most new engines from MAN B&W are delivered with this new generation of fuel injectors. In order to ensure optimal injector performance, the injectors are to be tested at regular intervals, as specified by MAN Diesel in their maintenance guide for "Fuel Valve Checking".

IOP Marine – Obel-P Products - is introducing four new twin-pump Hydraulic Power Units (HPU’s) - which are approved and recommended for all Wärtsilä and Man Diesel 2-stroke engines, including engines featuring the new 2200 bar tool series. The new product series is designed using and built to provide faster operation of high pressure tools (e.g. bolt tensioners for the large cylinder covers on 2-stroke diesel engines), making it possible to jack up a complete cylinder cover for a MAN Diesel K98 engine in less than 5 minutes – 5-6 times faster than normally - hereby saving both time and money. The durable units, with an expected lifetime similar to other Obel-P Products lasting as long as the engines themselves, can be used both onboard vessels as well as in workshops. 

The twin-pump units has been approved by both MAN Diesel A/S and Wärtsilä Switzerland for their large-bore 2-stroke engines.  

Sep 2006: Products produced by IOP Marine is the only alternative for Technical Director at Matson, Ramani Srinivasan as he does not compromise the quality of the products used onboard vessels in the Matson fleet.

IOP Marine is delighted to introduce three new members to the Goltens/IOP Marine cooperation: Goltens New York, Goltens California and Goltens Miami. The three American based repair-shops will function as authorized service agents for IOP Marine – and are furthermore authorized to sell IOP Marine spare-parts, which they have on-stock.
